The St. Stevens’ Polio Surgery and Rehab project provides funding for surgery and rehabilitation for 172 children, ages 18 and younger, who are victims of polio from the region surrounding New Delhi, India. The project includes transportation, evaluation, surgery, limb braces, rehabilitation, and follow up. Our host partner is the New Delhi Midtown Rotary. St. Stevens is well known for its polio surgery and rehab facility. For the past decade, over 700 Indian children have benefited from the partnership and collaboration between New Delhi Midtown Rotary and St. Steven’s. We have received a Matching Grant from TRF for this project.
The Rotary Club of Temecula is seeking district partners to continue this effort in the coming year.
